All lottery companies are requesting the return of their licenses

The biggest gambling companies in the UK are offering the government a significant increase in the money they donate to tackle problem gambling. The owners of William Hill, Coral Ladbroke, Betfair Paddy Power, Skybet and Bet 365 will offer to increase voluntary charges on their Lottery profits, the BBC has investigated.

They have offered to increase the levy from 0.1% to 1% over the next five years. The new tier will ultimately generate £100 million a year for gambling charities. Last year, the voluntary levy raised £10 million. The companies made the pledge in a letter to the Department of Digital, Culture, Media and Togel (DCMS) witnessed by the BBC.

The Togel Commission recently explained the importance of more staff, research and maintenance requiring an annual contribution from the industry of £70 million. The companies said they would consider increasing the number of safer Togel messages and evaluating the “voice and content” of their ads.

The pre-emptive offer is part of the industry’s efforts to improve its image after what insiders note was a record-breaking battle with the Fixed Odds Betting Terminal, which ultimately saw the maximum stake in each spin reduced from £100 to £2.

Jeremy Wright, Secretary of State at DCMS, explained: “I want the lottery industry to increase its social responsibility and keep its players safe, including by providing more funding for research, education and treatment to tackle gambling problems. Visit online slot maxwin303.

“I have met some of the key players in this space recently and my department is in talks with them about a strong package to increase their financial stake, and create meaningful loyalty in several other ways to help ensure people gamble safely.

“Protecting people and their families from the harmful effects of Togel is a priority for this government and I am encouraged that this section now recognizes that they need to do more.”

‘Industry on the brink’

One source told the BBC: “The industry is on the precipice – if we don’t progress, we will end up where the alcohol industry was 10 years ago and the tobacco industry 30 years ago. The fear is that we will face a ban on touchline advertising or football shirt sponsorship. ”

Gambling companies have agreed to a voluntary “syringe for syringe” ban on advertising during Togel events starting in August this year.

In an extract from a letter to Jeremy Wright, the company explained that for companies that represent half of the Togel industry, “we are committed to working together to address the dangers associated with Togel with a priority of protecting the vulnerable and young.”

Deputy Labor Party leader Tom Watson envisioned the UK’s “Togel pandemic” as critical to people’s health, as it could lead to debt, suicide and loneliness.

He has asked all Togel companies to submit requests to reinstate their licenses to evaluate their loyalty to corporate responsibilities. He recommended the establishment of a gambling ombudsman to provide compensation for loyal customers who were treated badly.

A recent report published in the British Medical Journal found that the economic and social costs of problem gambling have been underestimated.

The Lottery Commission estimates there are 430,000 people with serious gambling addictions in the UK. If you are among those they think are at risk of addiction, the number increases to more than two million.
